Where to Buy

You can order Held at a Distance from these online vendors:

Amazon

Barnes and Noble

Or, if you pefer, you can buy (or order) it from your local independent bookstore. Here in New York, I like Hue-Man Bookstore & Cafe in Harlem and McNally Robinson in Soho.

Hue-Man Bookstore & Cafe
2319 Frederick Douglass Blvd
(between 124th and 125th Streets)
New York, New York 10027
212.665.7400

McNally Robinson
52 Prince Street
(between Lafayette & Mulberry)
New York, New York 10012
212.274.1160

I had my first reading at Hue-man. Given Hue-man's commitment to African-American writing it felt like just the right place to start things off and I couldn't have had a better experience. Tadias Magazine, an Ethiopian magazine that features lots of arts stories, covered the event. Click here to see the magazine's "hot shots."
